Welcome to Florida Child Support Calculator, a blog specifically dedicated to Florida child support. My blog is really more like a static website, but I will try to update it from time to time to display current and relevant child support information.
By the way, that’s not me over there. I was looking for the right “professional” image for my blog with no success. I then stumbled across this guy. As you can see, he is either overcome with joy about being able to calculate his own child support or scared out of his mind with the calculating process…then again maybe it’s just shock with the amount he has to pay.
I realize that most people who come to the site are interested in using the child support calculator. By all means play around with the calculator as much as you would like, but remember the results are only as good as the information that goes into it. Please do not take offense to that statement, it is just my way of saying that a complete understanding of what numbers go into the calculation is vital. Everyone hears the term “child support guidelines“, but sometimes the Judge will order an amount less than or greater than the guideline amount.
It is also very important to understand that different timesharing arrangements, Statutes and/or case law can affect the actual amount the Court will use in calculating child support. Child support is not always as cut and dry as simply inputting numbers into a calculator.
I wrote 2 books containing 10 tips that may assist someone involved in a divorce or child support modification action either increase the amount of child support they receive or lower the amount they have to pay.
At the end of each “Page”, I post the following Disclaimer…
“Disclaimer: Any and all information provided herein (including reply to comments) is for informational purposes only. Specifically, no legal advice is being given to the user or any third party. For specific answers to any questions, please consult an attorney of your choosing. Please also remember that this is a public website, so do not leave any information that you would not want someone else to see.”
Although I like helping people, I would not feel comfortable with someone providing information about their specific case over the internet nor would I want my advice to a client to be part of the public domain. So…let’s keep it informational!
All that being said, I hope this site provides you with some helpful information and I wish you good luck in resolving your case.
